Dr Sarah Moyle, Head of Clinical BioManufacturing Facility, University of Oxford and George Adams, Vaccine Program Manager, EMD Millipore joined us the World Vaccine Congress Lyon 2012 to discuss the rapid early stage of new vaccines.
In the last ten years more people than ever are being vaccinated. Combined with improved access to clean water, sanitation and better hygiene, 2M less children age 5 died in 2010 than 2000. The World Health Organization recently stated 80% of the worlds children receive at least a basic set of vaccines. Still, 20% of children are without the protection basic immunization provides.
There is more to do!
The presentation "Rapid early stage development and assessment of new vaccines" focuses on the following points:
· How rapid and efficient translational research affects innovative vaccine development their application in medical practice, and health outcomes
· Applying scientific expertise and innovative solutions to deliver novel vaccines to meet challenging world human health issues
