Discover methods to achieve cross-protection against influenza virus protection from Dr. Chen Ze, Assistant Diretor of SIBP, Head of the Laboratory of Virus & Vaccine Shanghai Institute of Biological Products, China.
Dr. Chen Ze is currently a Professor of Shanghai Institute of Biological Products (SIBP) and a part-time Chair Professor of College of Life Science, Hunan Normal University. He is also a vice President of the Professional Commitee of medical microbiology and immunology of Society for Microbiology of China. From 1997 to 2000 he was a research scientist in National Institue of Infectious Diseases of Japan, undertaking the research on Influenza virus vaccine. At the World Influenza Congress Asia Summit 2011, Dr. Chen Ze discussed the following issues:
1. Ensuring protection against multiple influenza A subtypes by intranasal administration of NP-based vaccine
2. Developing cross-protection against influenza virus infection by intranasal administration of M1-based vaccine with chitosan as an adjuvant
3. Developing cross-protection against influenza virus infection by intranasal administration of M2-based vaccine with chitosan as an adjuvant
